Description

This image was taken for a story that ran in The Manawatu Evening Standard on 28th January 1966 "Mrs. E. Toms, of Paddington (Brisbane), who arrived in Palmerston North just after Christmas on a visit to her sister, Mrs. A,M., Schlierike, of College Street, is busy bridging a gasp of 52 years away from her birthplace. To her the change in the city is fantastic and everyday trips around the old haunts bring memories flooding back."
