This image was taken for a story that ran in the Manawatu Evening Standard on 15 July, 1963. "Five of the presidents of the Palmerston North Boys' High School Parents' Associations and their wives were the guests of the rector (Mr E. S. Craven) and Mrs Craven on Saturday night at their home and at a local hotel for dinner. Above are in order of years during the past nine years (from left): Messrs P. G. Evans, G. H. Dawich, W. E. Norris, J. M. Rose and K. Monk, and (seated), Mr Craven and Mr A. Muirhead (Greymouth), the newly appointed rector, who will take up his duties in the third term."
