This image was published in the September 10th 1978 edition of the Tribune weekly newspaper with the caption: “The woman in charge of the SPCA's Taonui Street Centre, Mrs Eleanor Husband, comforts a friendly ginger cat after it had been brought to the centre. The cat was found in Moheke Ave, Palmerston North after people had reported hearing a cat crying for about four days. A man cutting his hedge eventually found it - tied to the hedge with a piece of string around its neck.”
