Description

This image was taken for a story that ran in The Manawatu Evening Standard on 30 May 1961 "Mr. H.L. Arthur, of Hamilton, is shown with his "pink" cat. Although the cat is not the pink one imagines it to be, it has a faint tinge of this colour in the fur. The cat is the first cameo Persian to be bred in New Zealand and the Southern Hemisphere and is seven and a half months old. Mr. Arthur has been breeding cats of a speicalised type for the past 10 to 12 years and he has 22 adult cats and about nine kittens. He was a judge in the cat show held in Palmerston North."
