This image was taken for a story that ran in The Manawatu Evening Standard on 26 March, 1959. "The manager of Pegden's furniture store (Mr N. Cleaver) and his assistant (Mr J. Kyne) removing the fragments of glass from the display window which was shattered when a car crashed into it last night. The car, and another hit by it, were both extensively damaged."
