Description

217 Grey Street was built by John Ax in 1876, and was believed to be the oldest dwelling in Palmerston North still on its original site at the time. The house was registered on the New Zealand Historic Places register and, at the time of this photograph, the then owner applied to have the house removed from the register so it could be demolished. The house no longer exists.
