This image was taken for a story that ran in The Manawatu Evening Standard on 08 August 1960 "After working for two months, the committees of these four princesses raised over £800 towards the Takaro Free Kindergarten running expenses and building fund. On Saturday afternoon in the St. John Hall Darryl Simpson was crowned "Queen Darryl". With her are the three princesses (from left): Lynlie Warburton, Christine Jones and Karen Oliver."
