Morris Shailer of Rongotea, is the great-grandson of George William Shailer, an early Manawatu photographer. Morris Shailer was a freelance cameraman working under contract for the Broadcasting Corporation at the time this photograph was taken. On the left is his camera, an American GTX 16 mm movie camera and on the right is G.W. Shailer's plate camera made by Marion Co. of London. This photograph was taken at the Palmerston North Public Library centennial celebration.
