This image was taken for a story that ran in The Manawatu Evening Standard on 2nd December 1965 "Mrs. C.R. Carson (left) and Mrs. J McDonald (right), members of the women's section of the Palmerston north R.S.A. assisted by Miss C. Carson were busy packing the last of the 36 first aid kits for civil defence use today. Other helpers have been Mesdames D. Lovelock, J. Buick, and G. Sheppard. The fully equipped kits will be distributed to schools in the district."
