"City Children's interest in a Cow"
- Description
This image was taken for a story that ran in The Manawatu Evening Standard on 22 November 1960 "Forty Standard IV pupils from the College Street School visited Aokautere yesterday for the Fitzhertbert East School annual calf club day. The picture shows the College Street children having a close-up view of Mr. G.H. Spall's son's Ayrshire Anneabell which won the two-year-old section. To qualify for this, cows must have been previously entered as a calf in a school competition."
