Description

Jens Christensen (1848-1928) and his wife Catherine arrived in New Zealand from Denmark in 1876. They lived at Turitea from 1882, before settling on a 25 acre farm in Fitzherbert East in 1886 with their five children. Another son was born in the area. This photograph was probably taken on the occasion of their Golden Wedding Anniversary.
