Description

George Shailer and his wife Septuagesima arrived in New Zealand from England 1874, with their four eldest daughters. They subsequently raised 12 children. They first settled in Feilding, moved to farm at Makino and finally, due to George's ill health, settled in Palmerston North where George set up a photography studio. Pictured is Lucy Shailer, daughter of George and Septuagesima Shailer, born 22 November 1888.
