Description

This house in Ihaka Street was bought by J T J Heatley a Palmerston North City Councillor in 1926. The house was moved to the farm land near the bank of the Manawatu River. The land was later developed for housing near the intersection of Manawatu Street and Heatley Avenue. The house occupies 2400 square feet of the 42 perch section, the last of the Heatley Estate. Little of the exterior of the house has been changed.
