Description

Shown here is the last of the newspaper sellers in The Square. He is stationed outside the Kosy Theatre next to the Post Office on the corner of Main Street and The Square. The photograph was taken by Dr HJC Durward. He worked at Palmerston North Hospital from about 1930 until 1956. He was a keen amateur photographer and was at one time the longest standing member of the Manawatū Camera Club.
