This combined annual picnic of Collinson and Cunnighame and Collison and Son was held in the Ashhurst Domain in 1915. Approximately 100 employees spent an enjoyable time partaking in food and engaged in a varied sport programme. Fourteen events were held with trophies presented by the two firms and purchased out of picnic funds. Races such as a range of 100 yards relays, thread needle race, egg and spoon, sack race and a whistling race were held.
