This image was taken for a story that ran in The Manawatu Evening Standard on 3rd April 1963. "This band of shooters proudly display the best of the antlers and two chamois heads from deer they shot on a 12-day hunting expedition to the South Island. The party of 10 arrived back in Palmerston North at about noon today. The antlers in the foreground have 14 points. In the photograph (from the left) are Messrs S. Newton, W. Kelly, G. Balflour (rear), J. Laing, B. Crosbie, P Macpherson, D. Rush (rear) and S. Rush."
