Weekly "Back Issues" article in the Manawatū Standard. The life story and work of artist Rita Angus (1908-1970). Born in Hastings, Rita Angus spent her childhood in Palmerston North, attending Terrace End School and Palmerston North Girls' High School, before moving to study at Canterbury College School of Art. Angus is one of New Zealand's most important 20th century painters. Some of her work is on display at an exhibition at Te Manawa Museum, January and February 2024.
