This image was taken for a story that ran in The Manawatu Evening Standard on 25 February, 1964. "Lieut.-Colonel J. Andrews (left) escorts the Mayors of Napier (Mr P. Tate, centre) and Wellington (Mr F. J. Kitts) on an inspection of the ranks at the amalgamation of the Wellington and Hawke's Bay Regiments at Linton Camp on Saturday. On April 1, the two regiments will officially combine to form the 7th Battalion of the Royal New Zealand Infantry Regiment." See also: 2017N_2017-20_018520
