This image was taken for a story that ran in The Manawatu Evening Standard on 6 November, 1959. "D. Ray, of Takaka, was met at the Palmerston North railway station yesterday by his fiancee and future parents-in-law. He is on leave before going to Malaya with the New Zealand troops. From the left are: D. Ray; his fiancee, Miss Margaret Knowles; T. Knowles, who is also going overseas; Mr F. Knowles, holding Sandra; and Mrs G. Knowles."
