This flaxmill was situated on the northern side of the Koputaroa – Foxton Road, about 1 ½ miles west of Paiaka Road. It stood on the edge of the sandstone terrace and drew its flax supply from a block of swamp stretching north to the Manawatu River. The Mill, constructed c1911, was owned by Koputaroa Fibre Co. Ltd, being C.A. Loughnan, E Keiller and R.S. Abraham of Palmerston North. It was managed by the two Dalzell brothers, W.C. (Bill) and T. (Tom).Bill Dalzell purchased Abraham’s share of the mill in about 1913. The mill was sold to a Foxton company in 1915 and closed down a short time later.
