Description

Jens Chritensen and Miss Anna Katrine Knudsen were engaged in Denmark, travelled to New Zealand on the ship "Shakespeare" and were married in Wellington 16 October 1876. Jens Christensen worked on road and railway construction at Wellington and Wanganui, before taking up a bush farm at Fitzherbert. He later purchashed land at both Fitzherbert East and at Tiritea.
