This image was taken for a story that ran in The Manawatu Evening Standard on 29 July 1958, page 6: "The chairman of the Wanganui Education Board (Mr. W.H. Brown) is seen presenting the Craig Cup to two pupils of the Fitzherbert East School. The cup is awarded each year to a school in the Manawatu-Oroua district for the cultivation of crops, and written projects. Fitzherbert East School won the cup for the third year, and this was in the words of Mr. Brown "a magnificent effort.""
