This image was not published in the Manawatu Evening Standard, taken on 10 July, 1963. "The Minister of Transport for Malaya (Dato Haji Sardon bin Haji Jubir) this morning met some of his fellow countrymen who are at present studying at Massey University College of the Manawatu. The students, some of whom knew the Minister personally, were delighted to speak with the visitors and made many requests to convey their greetings to friends and relatives on the party's return to Malaya in 10 days. The Minister implored all of them to study hard while in New Zealand and wished them success in their examinations. He pointed out that they would be the future leaders in an ever-expanding agricultural programme on their return to Malaya. The party are seen at Massey this morning with the Minister and Dr. A Stewart (fourth from left in back row), the principal of the college." Another image of the group was published on 10 July, 1963.
