Letter of recommendation for Alexander Clark, painter and decorator. Alexander Clark (1881-1971) began as a painter and paper hanger in Palmerston North circa 1906. He soon opened a shop at 15 Fitzherbert Avenue, eventually trading as Alexander Clark Ltd.

The letter would have been written as Clark left Dunedin to settle in Palmerston North.
