C M Ross Co Ltd (Rosco) float in the parade celebrations to commemorate 50 years of Palmerston North, in 1927. The women on the float are modelling fashions of the previous 25 years, although the store operated from the 1880s. Situated on The Square, Rosco linked through to George Street and to a building on the corner of Coleman Place and George Street, as shown in the photograph.
