This image was taken for a story that ran in The Manawatu Evening Standard on 09 November 1960 "High above the city this morning the Rev. L.M. King poured the last bucket of concrete in the construction of St. Peter's Church. The final pour was to form the cross which will mount the tower 74ft 2in. above ground level. He is seen here just returning from completing the task."
