The Manawatu Hotel was sited at the north end of Foxton. In 1908 A.E. Shadbolt was the proprietor. The hotel was a two-storied building with a dining room, several sitting rooms and a commercial room on the Ground Floor. On the First Floor were bedrooms, a bathroom and a large sitting room.
