This image was taken for a story that ran in The Manawatu Evening Standard on 17 September 1960 "The new St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church in Ruahine Street which will be opened tomorrow. The contractors have been busy recently putting the final touches to the church which with its modern design will prove to be an attractive building."
