Description

The Awatapu Golf Links were situated at the intersection of Park Road and Botanical Road. The golf links stayed there until 1964 when the club was moved to the present location at the end of Fitzroy Street. Of the 89 acres vacated by the club, 79 acres were sold for subdivision and 10 were retained for the Lido Swimming Complex and Municipal Motor Camp. See Manawatu Evening Standard 28 November 1961
