"Members of the Manawatu representative hockey team which leaves the city today for Christchurch are seen gathering outside the Post Office. Manawatu met Canterbury today for the New Zealand Shield, the Dominion's premier hockey trophy. From the left to right are: M. Morgan, B. Hopkins, L. Henderson. B. Yulle, C. Proctor, R. Green, P. Davis and N. Millington."
