This photograph ran in the Manawatu Evening Standard, 5 September 1963 with the caption: "Miss New Zealand, Miss Elaine Miscall, was the chief mannequin at the parades that opened at Messrs Milne and Choyce store to promote Bri-nylon." Bri-nylon is a man-made fabric. Milne and Choyce was the former C M Ross department store, and later sold to DIC. It stood on The Square.
