Voss family at the beach
- Description
From a Voss family photograph album, but does not feature any members of the Voss family. Identified are Bertie Jacobs (first on left) and Olive Bett (fifth from right). The man to the left of Olive is possible Jack Grant, who later became her husband. Marx and Maren Voss emigrated from Denmark with Bishop Monrad’s scheme in 1874. They settled and farmed in Karere, near Palmerston North, where they raised their nine children.
