This image was taken for a story that ran in The Manawatu Evening Standard on 11 July, 1959. "In a section of the stainless steel department shown above, there is ample evidence of the space available for laying out jobs and working unhindered. All guillotines, presses, folding machines and machinery are concentrated in one section of the department to avoid time loss and give maximum efficiency. The welding section is separately housed and all welding processes are carried out with the very latest argon-arc welding plant which does not make a joint as commonly believed, but actually fuses the two sections into one common metal. The front half of this wing of the factory is used exclusively for the fitting of frames, packing and despatch."
