This image was taken for a story that ran in The Manawatu Evening Standard on 13 March 1958, page 10: "After gaining a creditable second place in the B grade section at the Dominion brass bands' contest at Dunedin, the Palmerston North City Silver Band returned by air to the city yesterday. Arriving at the N.A.C. air centre at 12.45 p.m., the band members staged a parade down Broadway and round the Square. Here, in perfect rhythm with drum-major (Mr. W. Hearn), they enter the Square."
