This C M Ross shop appears to be of an early design c 1880. The location of the shop is not known but thought to be Levin as it is not in The Square or George Street in Palmerston North. It is unknown when the Levin branch was opened, but other branches were not open in this period. C M Ross & Co. became C M Ross Co. Ltd (Roscos) in 1914.
