Sir Fredrick Weld (1823-1891) was a pioneer Pastoralist of New Zealand. He was elected to the first New Zealand Parliment in 1854 and was Premier from 1864-1865. Subsequently, he became a Colonial Governor of Western Australia, Tasmania and Straits Settlements (Malaya).
