Looking from Coleman Place, Palmerston North, down Broadway. Coleman Place, now called Coleman Mall, was named after Sylvester Coleman who was a Palmerston North Borough Councillor and businessman in the early days of Palmerston North. In this photograph, Hallenstein Brothers store is on the left and the end of Rosco's is on the right. The Hotel Midland is beside Hallensteins with Para Rubber to the right. The Australasian Temperance and General Mutual Life Assurance Society Ltd (T&G) building is in the distance on the right. In the far distance is St Patrick's Church.
