This image was taken for a story that ran in The Manawatu Evening Standard on 11 April 1961 "How many times can ten men push an iron bedstead around the Square in 16 hours. When photographed yesterday the students announced they were on their 91st circuit; they intended stopping on the 100th lap. Starting at 8 o'clock on Sunday evening, the students were divided in five teams, each having one hour pushing and pulling the bedstead. They found the railway crossing the hardest part of their trek as the castors kept coming off the frame."
