This photograph was taken by the Manawatū Evening Standard during a visit by Russian athletes to Palmerston North in January 1966, but was not published. It shows world champion Russian athlete Tamara Press accompanied by Michael Kopytko, a local resident who acted as an interpreter during the athletes' visit.
