This image was taken for a story that ran in The Manawatu Evening Standard on 3 January, 1964. "These young people, members of the Auckland Motor Scooter Club, are venturesome. They stopped in Palmerston North yesterday while on tour to Wellington, having come via Gisborne. They will return to Auckland through New Plymouth."
