"Contestants in the Palmerston North Music Club's vocal scholarship, held at St. Andrew's Hall last evening, are (from the left): Misses E. Wigg, E. Bristol, B. Maul, M. Jones, A. Thomason, M. McKinnon, B. Ward, G. Roughton, C. White and C. Flanagan. This winner was Miss Maul, who resides at Ashhurst."
