Description

This image was taken for a story that ran in The Manawatu Evening Standard on 30 May 1961 "This fine mahogany seat, designed by the noted Palmerston North sculptor, Mr. T.V. Johnston, and made by a city firm, has been presented to the Manawatu Society of Arts by the relatives and friends of the late Miss D. FitzHerbert. Of contemporary style, it is designed to harmonise with the interior of the city's Art Gallery in Grey Street. Miss FitzHerbert, a founder member of the society, was keenly interested in art and was an active member of the Palmerston North Art Group."
