Smith, an American exchange teacher, when she left Palmerston North for Wellington last night. A crowd of Palmerston North Girls' High School pupils brought out confetti and streamers just before the railcair pulled out. Not a few of them wept. Mrs Smith will sail for home from Wellington on the Monterey."
