This image was taken for a story that ran in The Manawatu Evening Standard on 15 August, 1959. "The staff of the Palmerston North railway station refreshment rooms have a little respite between the arrival of the four special trains to the second Test match at Wellington today. This picture was taken at three o'clock this morning before the arrival of the first through train. Over 2700 people were expected to be catered for on the four trains."
