Second Ashhurst Police Station and Residence

Description

This building, on Cambridge Avenue, Ashhurst, served as the town's police station from 1896 until 1921. The police constables stationed in Ashhurst during that time were: James Franklin (April 1896 to January 1906); Lott Edward O'Halloran (February 1906 to May 1909); Hubert Watts (May 1909 to July 1913); Patrick Jeremiah Herlihy (July 1913 to December 1917); and William Dunphy (February 1918 to March 1923).
