This image was taken for a story that ran in The Manawatu Evening Standard on 26 January, 1959. "On Saturday two R.N.Z.A.F. Canberra bombers arrived at Ohakea from Malaya. The crews were photographed upon their arrival. They are, from left to right: Flight Lieutenant R. B. Smith, of Oamaru, who piloted one of the planes, Flight Lieutenants C. N. Hanson, of Papatoetoe, and P. J. Heares, of Ohakea (the two navigators) and Squadron Leader G. R. B. Highet, of Wellington, Officer commanding 75 Squadron R.N.Z.A.F., who captained the second aircraft".
