This image was taken for a story that ran in The Manawatu Evening Standard on 26th January 1966 "This is the fastest plane in New Zealand - a F-4C Phantom fighter-bomber, photographed on arrival at Ohakea air base last night. The Phantom can carry twice the bomb load of a World War II Liberator and has a maximum range of 2000 miles without resorting to in-flight refueling."
