The ACE c1922 4 cyclinder motorbike with gas lighting, registration WG759, was owned by Ernest Davis, shown parked outside his parents home at 171 Albert Street. Ernie was the son of James and Harriet Davis, who farmed at Fitzherbert West before moving into Palmerston North c1910. the bike was reported to need a running start to get it going.
