This image was taken for a story that ran in The Manawatu Evening Standard on 11 December, 1959. “These three fairies stole the show at the Linton Military Camp last night during the Linton School fancy dress party. Susan Martin, aged two, on the right, appeared to be the youngest. In the foreground is Marquerite Nash, aged three and three-quarters, with Carol Gilliland, also three and three-quarters, next to Susan. About 150 other children took part in the function.”
