This image was taken for a story that ran in The Manawatu Evening Standard on 14 June 1961 "Mr. and Mrs. N.R. Pearson, who emigrated from Victoria, Australia 47 years ago, are celebrating their golden wedding anniversary today. On their arrival in New Zealand the couple took up farm work, and Mr. Pearson worked with his brother, Mr. R.R. Pearson, of Rongotea and in and around the Manawatu before going to the Longburn Freezing Works 20 years ago."
